Meet our Chairman and Clinical Director
Dr. Alan P. Childs, M.A., Psy.D is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA; and his Master of Arts in Professional Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania; and his Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, Wheeling, IL. He became Chairman and Clinical Director of his practice in 1994. He is a member of the Illinois Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. Dr. Childs has extensive University teaching experience and frequently appears as an expert in divorce court hearings and a clinical spokesperson for FOX NEWS CHICAGO. Dr. Childs was awarded a federal government grant two times in a row as a vendor with Chicago Public Schools, SMART program working with adolescents who are at risk of not graduating from high school who have challenges with psychological and social issues. Dr. Childs is also involved with the Safe and Drug Free Title Program with the Archdiocese of Chicago.
